Any suggestions
« on: March 21, 2017, 09:28:24 AM »
I have a Ruger 22 wmr and I'm looking for suggestions as to what may be the best ammo to shot out of it.  I'd rather not spend a lot of money going through various brands and grains of bullets to find what is going to shoot the best through it.  I figured I'd throw it out there to see what works for other hunters and start there.

They don't shoot worth a crap.  Give it to your old buddy Lookn4Fur to dispose of.   ;D ;D ;D

I'd do that but I've seen you shoot !!!!!   My 1 1/2 inch groups would be 3" groups with you behind the same gun!!!

22 Mag......50yds...out at 100 I was not doing as well but it was still 1 and a half, some better and a couple worse 3 shot groups, ....I tried the Winchester ammo UB used to promote and it was all over the place 2 good shots flyer.....Like Goose said mine will cut the same hole at 50 with the 30 grain...I have not shot 40's out of this one because I was happy with the results I got...I had a Mossberg that liked the 40's better.....have you tried finding any 22 mag ammo lately? It's ridiculous .............. 8) I have some vision problems so I really should shut up on this, just my 2 cents....

Dang, 'jake. You beat me too it.
I was going to suggest we all send you 5-10 rounds of what we use. Then you could have made your choice.
