A friend of mine sold a little over 200 reds at NAFTA he ended up with $9.85 after the commission was paid. People that sold there furs early in the season averaged twice that.
But at least they my have bottomed out. So hopefully they have no place to go but up from here.
This will be an interesting year.
Local fur buyears will be giving less so they can at least make a buck or two.
However easter reds have almost always sold. Not like raccoons. My fur buyers averaged .98 cents for the last lot she sold. They were purchased by speculators. So they are setting in storage until a fur manufacturer needs them.

Goose
At this time I am not sure how I will handle this season. I have a feeling it will not affect my hunting. I am thinking of trapping just to catch a fisher. LOL

BW......I was thinking "FISHER" also
but I'm not sure
their pretty easy to catch and I really like more of a challenge
............besides it seems like everyone is on the FISHER bandwagon lately
...I am hoping to talk to Russ Carman at the Newville Show about them
I'm sure he can get you going on the proper techniques for tracking and trapping those critters...
I sure don't want to get there and find myself tracking their little feet in the wrong direction,
like others we know
