Goose, the wife wanted me to run errands with her yesterday, when I return from checking traps.
I said, get ready now and go along checking traps with me, then we'll be out and run the errands.
She said, 'I'll be ready in a bit. Get the truck warmed up.' I did that. But we were having an unexpected snow squall, a white out, that wife didn't see.
By the time we left, the snow had stopped.
Several places we had Black Ice. It was surely a morning drive I didn't want wife with me. But too late.
My first check is 6.3 miles from the house. It's took awhile to get there.
So you married guys know how this slow, white knuckle drive went with a nervous wife along.
I was happy to turn off dirt & gravel roads for better traction .
After a few properties checked, the hard top roads were salted and wet. The wife sorta calmed after that. Got the line checked ok and ran her around to do errands.
When we returned home, I told her how much I enjoyed being with her this morning. She just rolled her eyes.
