how is the carnivore light vrs the wicked 402. how much farther can you see an animal with it?

My buddy has the wicked light and we made the comparison two weeks ago. Frankly there is no comparison.
We had a fox sitting at 300 yds with his light the eyes were barely visable and no Id could be made, I kept telling him it was a fox, he didn't believe me so I had him get behind my gun and he says wow you were right! The carnivore light is no joke and worth every penny!

If you're serious about night hunting, there is no other choice but the Carnavore light.  I think I've tried just about every light on the market and NOTHING comes close to the Carnavore.  Most light I've tried don't even come close to what they are claiming....  The Carnavore does.  It is truly an amazing light!!!!

I echo what has been said about the Carnivore..I run an older model from several years ago and its still a great light. I use an older model XLR 100 for a scanner and have the Carnivore mounted to my tri pod.. combo has worked well for me for several years...tried many others but always come back to this original set up...

Just got a wicked scanpro headlamp 2 weeks ago...Awsome scan light..excellent battery burn time...I hunted with it twice so far and hit a been awsome

How bright is the carnivore scanning light?   I have read on here that with the kill light, people can distinguish between a red and a grey fox from 300 yards.  Does anyone have any direct comparison between the two?   I can only afford to purchase one light and I'm trying to make my decision.  Thanks.

Hands down the Carnavore is a better light.  I have a wicked light and IMO it's like comparing a scan light to a shoot light.

               Well...if your going to shoot 300 yrds...then you've heard the comparison....but i could id a fox at 200 yards the other night with my wicked scanpro..which,i thought was awsome.....so i guess it depends on money and how serious your going to hunt....if i had to money to blow...it be a coyote light...the best of the best for 400.00.  These light posts could go on and on....Get what you can afford and know your limations...just my 2¢ Rusty

Of time i wished i had little more light. Thats only reason i started tbis

The only way to really know is for YOU to do a side by side comparison.  Then YOU be the judge .  You're the one who has to be happy with it and that's all that counts

I use a coyote light it's a pricy piece but well worth the money.

In my opinion the Carnivore 2 is damn near identical to the coyote light in brightness for less than half the money.  That is not a knock on the coyote light.

Carnivore 2 is amazing and so is the price. I won the scan light and was impressed with it so I got the gun light and it didn't disappoint. I would recommend it to anyone.
