I know it pertains to the terrain... A lot of National Forest means more liberal hunting opportunity and even larger harvest  allowed..

Funny how it took years to allow us to use the light affixed to the gun.. Many times it was people getting up and talking in front of groups that never even hunted at night time and said it was to dangerous.. Kind of like Biden saying to go on your front porch and shoot a shotgun up into the air to protect your home.. I know of a man that swayed the group and made us not get the light on the gun for a few years because he said we would point the barrel and use that as our sweeping light to find the predator eyes... They believed him... No one on the pro side got up and talked...

#4buck is heavy enough for any predators your gonna get up there, it'll even handle a bear if they get to personal over your calling...

for turkey you can use #4 shot, only one size smaller then Va... as many people as get shot up there in turkey season, be glad that's all the bigger they can use, or there would be more fatalities...
