I have a few friends me included that are calling in coyotes now with howling. Two days ago the coyote came into my howling on the Alpha Dogg withing minutes...
figure now they are truly trying to protect their home turf so be prepared for coyotes to come in within minutes of making a few Interrogation Howls.. What a gift if they respond back to you... Now remember to try.. I say try to set your shots up too... You need to know the land your hunting on... Where the ravines are and logging roads the least resistance area that's where they will come from.. .Also use objects in the farmers fields to block your scent cones...sadly... This is the time to hunt yourself or with just one other person... Logical that the more scent out there your going to get busted... We had three of us hunting the other morning and sadly where I positioned myself .. I was the one the coyote honed in on and smelled. they will get in direct line with the sound source so when using electronics make sure your not in line with the speaker. Sadly this coyote came in the down wind side of where the speaker was .. I was close to the calling machine so. yep I got busted!!!
