Furtakers TV show...
« on: January 10, 2014, 06:16:15 AM »
Recently, I saw a TV showed call Furtakers with Mike Dillion.

Mike (and another guy) was using a seat, and I think a gun rest attached.
It looked like a compact unit.

Could someone tell me the name of the seat or seat/gun rest Mike was using?
Thanks,
Hern

I didn't see that hern but on the show last night.  Not to hijack your post Hern but  Al was using a rod underneath his shockwave that he screwed into the ground to keep the call elevated.  I was wondering if that mounts to other foxpro calls and if they sell it?  Guess I could call them but thought I would ask here first.

Maybe someone has the answers to both of our questions.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

It was two-three weeks ago.
They were hammer'n Grey Fox in Virginia.

I was reading and half watching this show. I wasn't paying attention to the show, but did see Mike and another guy sitting in a low seat/chair and I think the gun rest may have been attached.

This show...
They were experiementing with White light vs. Red Lens light.
They concluded their experiment with same results I had 35-40 years ago.

The rest wasn't attached to the seat.  I have the seat.  Its a low profile with short folding legs.  Unless I missed a part I believe that is what you were referring to.  I'll try to get a pic up later.

They got a yote and greys with the white light, but a red was skittish.

As for the rod that screwed into the ground my firestorm has a place to screw a camera tripod onto it. I'm not sure what they were using exactly but I have an old camera tripod that works well just choose not to use it cause I carry too much s#!t as it is lol.
And agreed on the white vs red light debate only I learned it a few years ago not 25 like someone else....hahaw cacaw!

sc, it was a low seat. I think it had a back on it, like a chair or stadium seat or canoe seat.
