This years winter weather really is tough on the wildlife.
Fluffy snow, soft snow, the Deer are all over, even next to our house eating the shrubs and hitting the Bird feeders. This morning, snow is frozen again and no signs of Deer around our house except for the Deer feeder out back, that gets hit every night. Hard snow makes travel tough for Deer. It's colder than a Witch's heart this morning.
We live near homes but in a township. The fresh, fluffy snow Saturday morning revealed a Red Fox track across our front stoop and across our parking area. Another Red Fox track in the backyard. Last night around 9:30pm I had my Carnivore 5 and looked out the back door for Deer. A Grey Fox was 24' away near a bird feed where the Rabbit feed each night.
When wildlife is getting close to homes, it's tough conditions out there...
