Just got back in and am thawing out 6° on the sunny side of the mountain wind a pretty fierce wind

Make sure when you call in this wind you call from the wind ward side to the Lee ward side of the hill or mtn... The critters and the prey being that they are mammals will be on the side of the mtn that has less wind on it.. Telling you all of this of course as I slept to 1055 AM today why everyone was frezzing their tail off..  Remember use a sound that will carry in the wind... I always like the Jack Rabbit Distress on somewhat windy days...  PS   when I do hunt and it's windy ... I do get critters by practicing what I preach above.. Think about it ... If you the man the mammal was in the cold windy weather.. You'd either head back to your vehicle or go on the side of the hill that wind was being blocked.  Critters do that too.. Why even Ole Ruff you find him on the Southern Exposure during your after Christmas hunts...

  I did one better  I let her practice starting it  I also let her carry in the coal and dump the ashes  Need to warm those muscles up for when she's digging through the Snowplow crap up at the street  Don't need another bad back around here! ..............She's out getting provisions now  I love that woman..... ..................
