« on: March 13, 2013, 12:51:49 PM »
Anyone else getting hungry and starting to drool for those tasy mushrooms? Spent a couple hours over the weekend looking for sheds and dreaming of mushrooms...found 1 3pt shed

Oh yeah!
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

Did you actually lay eyes on them?  I have been looking for the last two weeks and have seen nothing.  Have not looked since saturday though.

I looked yesterday...nothing yet. I bet they came up last night or definitely by the weekend. I am sure they are up in some areas.

Stopped by a couple elm trees this morning while turkey hunting and picked up 4 grays. Should be a lot more out...just need some more time to go out there and get them.

I went out yesterday and was shocked that no Morel's have erupted yet... I think it might be that we just haven't had sufficient rain fall and warm nights...Might turn out to be a bad year.  Last year wasn't to good either... Hoping that as it gets warmer they will start to erupt!!!Maybe you guys are doing better in your part of the state.. Where I go so far I have not got any!!!

Whew!  I thought it was just me.  I only found three half free's so far.  I hear of people in other parts of the state finding a lot.  I agree Jim, last year was no good for me either.  Maybe our spots have just run their coarse?  We will see shortly.  Then again, I never find pounds.

Lol.  Stick to the topic please.  For making a comment like that, maybe you should pick and freeze some to give me for my next visit.

Speaking of pounds, I have sure been putting on the steaks all winter and have gained lots of pounds. Now its time to work em off looking for morels and turkeys and then gain em back eating morels.
