I'm Loving my Ernie Wilson Tripod!
« on: January 03, 2013, 11:58:23 PM »
Having used the Ernie Wilson Tripod (PPHA Sponsor) a few times it was only a matter of time until I would have my own.  This thing is amazing...wish I had gotten one sooner.  I guess with age comes wisdom...

Anyway, here are some pictures with my son deer hunting with it and my first fox taken with my own tripod tonight.  Also used his Carnivore 5 as my shooting light and love that too.  Thanks Mr. Wilson for sponsoring PPHA and making such great products for predator hunters.  Can't wait to try out the tripod on ground hogs and maybe late doe in 5C.

My oldest son deer hunting:

Tonight's fox!  150 yards felt like 20 yards...it's hard to miss with this thing...

Some fox shot last night with the Wilson Tripod and Carnivore 5 Shooting Light.

Two were taken by me and three by my hunting partner last night.  I limit myself to one fox a night.  Rarely want to shoot more...rather watch others enjoy it.  The fox in the front was a dandy...tried weighing him but the scale wasn't working last night.

Looks like a good night. How is it lugging the tri-pod from stand to stand? I've been thinking about getting one from Ernie.

Speaking for myself i dont have any problems at all. One of the best investments i have made since my foxpro

My gun is heavier than the tripod.  I honestly do not mind carrying it and I have three herniated disks in my back.  The key is to put it up on your shoulder and let your bone structure hold the tripod instead of your muscles.  I was a huge skeptic of the weight, standing, etc.  I was wrong...these are great investments for die hard hunters.

Varies on the spots but the closest I guess would be 75 yards
Enough to walk across the street then min 25 yards in
