Right on prdtkilr! My area is trapped with a vengeance. Traps are out all night. My calling sequence is around 10 minutes. Who do you think gets the most fur? Quantity isn't the name of the game here. It's me getting out there and enjoying the hunt. Even though I may only get around 10 fox and a couple coyotes.

Set your own goals. I take the hours hunting and keep a mental record on how many I call in and how many I kill per hour. I also set shooting goals on distance of shots. I like to keep track of my closest and my longest shots of the year. Each year you can set new goals, kind of keeps it exciting. If you only kill two critters you will have your close and far shot. Next time try to beat them shots and numbers call in and shot. It will be more fun for sure.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Sometimes it's not about numbers. Some of my best hunts saw me going home empty handed. Sometimes it's great just to sit in the woods at night and clear the head. Helps me to cure all the problems of the world, mostly my world.  ;)

Rick
LoL there are times I too have no goals.   But it is good to have goals. Just do not set them out of reach. When you reach them goals set new ones. I have set many of time in the woods not doing much, maybe I was just setting there thinking up new goals. :-) I only think about the things I can change. The rest I just pray about.
