Road kills

I was going hunting the other night and there in a dangerous spot was a red fox that just got hit by a car... I figure I'd make a calling stand and on the way back I would pick up the carcass and throw it in the back of the foxmobile.. I figure wrong.. Not more then 40 minutes it was gone... made me feel good anyway since some trapper or caller probably stopped and took one of our resources home to be used wisely and not wasted...However......It was just one heck of a dangerous place to stop and my instincts said:  "It ain't worth getting killed by a car in a place you can't find a good place to park or walk along the road... However when it's safe keep picking up those furbearing animals that are in season... Fur...is a resource and should not be wasted.. Unless it all manged up!!!!

Remember you new trappers and callers.  If you have a  furtakers license you can stop and pick up those road killed furbearing animals that are in season...PA Game Laws now allow you to do that..
