Most time predators will come into the wind..They also will at one point in time of calling get in direct line with the loudest part of the sound.. That being the speaker or the person making the sound..  So if your watching down wind of the sound and somewhere where the speaker is aimed down wind the predator will show up there...

Now coyotes here in pa will make their arc about 250 yards down wind of the sound.. So your shooters or you if your using a remote need to be down wind of the sound and cross wind of the main sound source. You want to shoot the coyote as it makes it arc from the left side or the right side of the main sound beam... Now what you have to do is determine what side of the arc the predator will come from... If there is a barn or the farmers house or an obstacle on the left side... The coyote can't go through that obstacle so that is the side for the shooter to be sitting on. Get in line with the obstacle.. The coyote is then force to make the arc on the other side of the obstacle..In this case the right side of the main sound beam...Summary...Predator will come into the wind,  Predator will head for the loudest part of the sound source, and it will make it's arc 250 yards below the sound but can't go through an obstacle.. So you want to be on the side with the obstacle so it does not smell you.. You probably have a good chance of getting a shot if you take all of this into consideration..
