Bradford county near towanda...I also heard what I thought at first was a yote howling late night up in tioga this past weekend while bear hunting, and a guy that was hunting with us from montana said, sure did sound like a bobcat...anyone ever hear anything of the sort? Not as loud or high pitched as a yote, but kinda like a low growl almost?

I remember deer hunting on the PGL at Noxen....First day of Buck Oh that would be back in 74.. I was up in the Mountain Laurel on the top of the ridge.. Dang...One growled at me... However it sound more like a mountain lion then a bobcat... The thing was right on the other side of the bushes.. Oh maybe 40 yards or less from me...To this day......I'm still thinking that this cat was not a bobcat??????

Texas

Well I guess that is the second easiest place to call a bobcat besides the local zoo. I just read a forum that had a youth hunt in TX. or NM. seven and eight YO called and killed bobcats.

That is very difficult to hunt that territory when your young.. Those mountains sure do go way up there.. To hunt the road on the bottom is near impossible for calling.. People come along in vehicles often and wreck everything up.  Also...Wow... you break down on the road and your in deep trouble for sure....Also if you meet someone traveling on the road in the opposite direction someone can pretty near be pushed over the side in some places..

22 Hornet...  I am from Wilkes-Barre originally so I do know some excellent land to hunt in NEPA...Problem is that it's all public land and it hunted hard by other hunters..  Not that they get anything there they do educate the critters.. It takes a lot of deep down thinking on how to get them to respond to calls on these pieces of land..
One good thing......people who hunt these lands just let their sounds rip for long periods of times... One has to just do the opposite..
