Legalizing Semis For Hunting In Pennsylvania

I am trying to get names so that we, as Pennsylvanians, can legally hunt with semis. Hopefully, you see a need to use one of these fine sporting rifles, as I do.

Same here.  If you can figure out how to present this, count me in!  Let me know what I need to do.

I would LOVE to have an AR-15 but I just cant justify buying one.  IF I could predator hunt with it, I'd have one...or 4.

I'm with ya...

If not for big game, at least make the law for rifles the same as semi auto shotguns for small game and predators.
I would not object to a mag restriction as well, as long as I could use my AR for cats & coyotes, etc...

They aren't more dangerous than any other firearm, whether single shot, bolt, pump, semi, or lever. Irresponsible people will cause hard with any of them. The firearm is just another gun!

Look how the old Winchester and the old Marlin lever actions were... A slip of the hammer and the gun would go off.. Hunters just need to be educated and hunt safe... The old Model 94 and Marlin 336 and Marlin 1894's are still being used on deer hunts.
I think the semiautomatic could be used in Pa just like the ever so careful when your hunting still in use old model 94's and 336's are being used..

If we started to strike every gun for being unsafe then many of the old time guns would also be a candidate of not being safe to use in Pa.


One has to be just that safe... No mater if it's a single shot, old model 94 or a semiautomatic rifle...

100% Agree, UncleBuck! There are irresponsible people out there, but they need to be punished when caught. Those people are just as dangerous with any firearms they touch, no matter the action.

Daveyc  the petition link might not be working...I tried twice today to add my name and it would not work..  Your just might be losing potential signatures  for the use of the semiautomatic for hunting in Pa because of this..
