I just use the stock woodland camo that is already on my shotgun but when it snows I put masking tape on it in places and my rifle gets a stretchy gauze type product that is self adhesive and wraps over my scope as well. It's great for quick changes in the weather and is not as expensive as a roll of camo cloth tape.

I used spray cans of camo paint purchased in Walmart paint department. Tan, Brown, Black. plus Grey primer.
Snow camo, I use white horse leg rape purchased at Tractor Supply. Horse leg wrap adheres to itself, no mess.

Like Hern I also use the Vet Horse tape you get at tractor supply.. I use to strech a white nylon over the gun and cut the action and feed area of the nylon out...Works too but it just does not feel like a rifle or shotgun when you do that...By the way...The Vet horse tape comes in other colors too...Even F Orange!!!!!!!

I did a little seach and seen there is more then one kind of wrap. I asume you guys are talking about cohesive type.

For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Buckwheat  yep it cohesive but it does not stick to the gun.  It bonds to the top and bottom of the Vet Tape.  You put the first wrap on tight and the bond occurs on the tape alone...You will find this vet tape in the tractor supply area where the HORSE products are...In addition to the white and orange I have seen brown, green, etc...
One could take a piece of the orange and wrap it around an area of your camo'd shooting stick so when you lay it down on the ground you will find it in the leaves too.
After I am done using the wrap I take a spool or dowel rod and  place it on the wrap for the next time I need it..So you can use it over and over again too.....

I just finally got around to painting my shotgun this week. It turned out pretty good for a first time paint job. I will post some pictures soon.
