I like the Nite Lite products  "Wizard rheohead" for scanning and the Optronics 100 yd light for the gun mounted shooting light.  These products are not new but they are proven in PA and fairly cheap...........Tim

highest price doesn't mean it's the best... you have to look at practicality also...

the Nite Lite systems have killed thousands of heads of fur over the years... why is that you ask?... because they do what's necessary... one battery to hunt all night, enough light to spot eyes further then you can hit'em, easy access if you need to change a bulb and both a head light and gun light will run off one battery...
when you step out the truck, you become part of the food chain...

I use and LIKE the lightforce lights on my guns. I use the 140 model with 5 inch lense. Excellent light for shooting. Just slide it on the bracket thats on the scope. Its tough hunting by yourself spotting eyes comming in over 100 yards away. That's why i need a high quality headlamp. Once i see eyes i go to rifle. I don't use shotguns at night very often. I own six of the Lightforce lights and love them.

Lightforce bracket on scope. Just slide light on and off. The wheel in front is an adjustment. This 140 Lightforce light is very light.

If you want to buy one call Rick at TUFFLIGHTS.COM. Super nice guy.

Any feedback on the nitlite tracker? I am looking at it because of the price. I usually use a shotgun when I hunt so I'm just trying to luminate their eyes, I believe I could identify my target. it's 80,000 candle power halogen and last 5.5 hours from a full charge.http://www.huntsmart.com/hunt/Hunting-Lights_7/Item_Nite-Lite-Rechargeable-Tracker-6-Volt-Hunting-Light_1095H.html

If it was me i would go with the nite sport 2 .Or a wizard 2 if they still make them. But I think maybe the nite sport 2 took the wizards place.Myself i like the RHEOHEAD headlamp . That way you can adjust the brightness.

I just ordered the nitlite sport 2 last nite. I contacted a store that sold the nightblaster but the never emailed me the specs on how long the battery lasts on a full charge. So I took the advice on here. I was torn between the sport2 and the tracker but went with adjustable brightness on the sport. I hope I don't pay for that in the long run. More parts sometimes equals more problems.

A two man team with bigger lights will work better.

good choice predator77! nitelite is a great product..you'll be happy with your choice. i know and hunt too many guys who own a Lightforce who swear to never own one again. in fact everytime i've hunted with someone who was using one had one issue or another with them. yeah they have good customer service...but only because they handle so many of thier units back for repairs within one hunting season.....personally, i think they are junk. Nitelite's are rugged and will last you years to come and more.
