"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

Very interesting! I'm anxious to see if this gets final approval. Surprised that they went all in. I was figuring that they would start off with baby steps, like semis for predators and .22 semis for squirrels. Thanks for the info L4F.

Wow,   I'm also surprised they went all in.   As for me,  I'll stick with my bolt action.   "One shot,...  one kill".

You can read the whole thing on the game commissions website.  January 2017 agenda. Page 33 also stated that air rifles would be legalized for small game!

A email I recieved today stated this....The PGC comment line is getting comments against semi's by a 10 to 1 ratio. If the tentative policy established a week ago is reversed this "will" be nationwide news for the anti gun groups and CeaseFire Pa will be flooded with money and praise for there work.

I'm sure the game commission is stuck between a rock and a hard place woth this one. They can't afford to make anybody feel alienated. License sales are already low.

MY opinion only!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they wanted to get anything done they should have started with predators, small game and air rifles. After a year or two ,slide the possibility of big game in with it, based on a good safety record from small game. The public is bombarded by the media, painting these firearms in a bad light. I called the PGC in favor of the proposal, but that's the problem, just like our hunts...how many will call?.. 8)

Well said, Jaspr1. I agree. I think I'll call the game commission just to add my 2 cents.

Foxhound, email the PGC on this subject.  They have to record all emails that come in RTK protocol.  Calls are not recorded.

Jasper1, I also agree......I had a lady ask me last week why we need "machine guns" to hunt with.

The lady that asked about machine guns obviously doesn't buy a hunting license. I think they should just Legalize them for everything. I used to be against semiautomatic. But the more I learn I have no problem with them. I think once legal it will all be forgotten about and just become the new norm.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.
