EW  I would have to guess they were out at 700 yards or better.  The snow is knee deep on me. I may try approaching from the other side of the valley and see if I can position myself closer (wind permitting).

That can be close enought sometimes. But i would try also to get closer. If you can try and circle the area and see were they like to be from there tracks. You will learn a lot. Then go back with your new knolage on how to get in and set up. You can go back there any time and know the best spot. Hand call work but they are going to look right at you on there way in. Until you learn electronic calls can give you an edge.

Heading out tomorrow and Saturday evening...hoping we can capitalize on some plowed access roads that cut through the terrain there. the snow last week was a foot or so and only gonna be deeper now..however these roads provide some easy traveling for both the coyotes and us...
