The Nerve of some Fox
« on: February 20, 2014, 10:19:20 PM »
So last summer/fall I had some red foxes take me for 20 plus chickens in a short time frame.  I caught one in the coop and disposed of it.  For the life of me I couldn't find the den this fall though.  Well I wasn't looking close enough.  Today the beagle ran up on the hill across from my house and while walking after him I found 2 freshly dug dens with fox tracks all around them 75 yds from my house overlooking the chicken coop from the ridge.  I kid you not.  The two holes were about 15 yards apart.  It looked like they were cleaned out in the past couple days.

Hate to shoot them now many are rubbed. Ant bobcats around they will also clean out chickens, turkeys, and even coon. I had seen pictures on a game camera of a bobcat going 3 to 6 feet to grab coons who thought they were safe. Deer feeders get a lot of game killed even deer.
