newer to the sport need some tips
« on: November 16, 2012, 06:41:21 AM »
Hey all I really like what you got going on this site....really nice to be able to access fellow pa hunters like this...so here is my situation...I've been calling on and off for a few years messing around called a few things in but never a coyote and there is getting to be alot around here so I went out Tuesday since archery was over and sat in my treestand and let it rip. About 35mins later I had a coyote sneaking in and stopping looking for what was producing the sound around 60 yds away but stopping only behind trees of course...after 5mins he had enough and started to leave so I found an opening. Stopped him and missed lol ... anyway me and two friends are gonna go on a predator hunt around st marys. Ridgway. Area don't know the area at all just know there's cats and yotes up there so that's where were going....really want a cat and yotes would be great as well...soo mornings ? Dusk? Night? Sounds? And setups what to look for call from top of mountain. To bottom up on top of mountains where its flatter? Any help would be greatly appreciated just kinda looking to get away and thought we would give it a try ...heading up jan 17th thru the 20th. Decoy? ...thanks and sorry for such a congested post ...Dan
