Coon Hunting
« on: February 01, 2012, 10:12:23 PM »
I threw a post up on huntingpa also.  I was wondering if anyone hunted coons with dogs and would be willing to bring a tag along.  I live in susquehanna county, but could travel to wayne since i have family there.  I grew up doing it with my grandfather and tonight i was showing off his old pictures of his night grand champion dog and numerous other awards and I just got the urge to go out for a night.  I can help with gas.

I have a dog that I hunt some but he is 7 or 8 and starting to slow down a little. After a nights hunt he is a little stiff the next day. You are welcome to go along but I am afraid I am a long ways off. I love hunting coons with hounds but haven't done it much the last 3 years. Used to hunt them all the time until I started dating steady and got myself married off....things kinda changed and its sorta hard to find the time...I am from Juniata county.

Thanks for the offer!!  I will have to look into the travel time and such.  I'll get back to you.  I don't even want to carry a gun just want to hear the dogs.
