Nice to Carry one of these little guns

Nice weather when your hunting or just shrooming in the woods.. Your going to run into people that's for sure..You just never know who is out there on the public lands!!!!!
When shrooming I do carry a Dan Wesson snubnose 357 magnum.. Fits nice on the hip... Also would be great when bear are not hibernating..
However always thought it would be nice to own a Derringer that shoots the 410 ammo and  a center fire pistol caliber too..

I just recently purchased a taurus 738.  it is a .380 acp semi.  I was looking for something that I could carry that wouldn't print bad.  I did a bit of research and I came up with the taurus was the best.  I also looked into if the .380acp round had enough to do its job effectively if it is ever needed.  here is a good link ( http://www.brassfetcher.com/380ACP%20ammunition%20performance%20in%20ballistic%20gelatin.pdf )

this little gun is very accurate.  I have shot around 125rds through it now.  It does have a bit of a kick though.  but manageable.  it came with two mags, a bulldog pouch, and lock out keys.  I bought it over at books country store in blain for 312 bux with two boxes of ammo.  they were the cheapest place I found em.  grices was an option but wasn't worth running all the way north for one gun.

some pics.

Those "pocket" guns are nice. Picked up one of these.....

I also like the big hammers too. Mine is 40 s/w.

I'm still partial to the 44 mag though.  ;D

are you just as accurate with the tomcat as you are with the 44mag?

Haven't shot it that much but at 12-15 paces I don't miss much with the tomcat. Now with the Px4 at 15 paces I only missed once in about 30 shots shoot'n at a 6 inch shoot'nsee target. I need to expand my distance a bit. When it gets a little warmer and I'm out in the field hog hunt'n, I'll be chase'n some pop cans around to try an be a lot more accurate. The next gathering I'll try and not shoot all your targets ;).........NOT !! ;D ;D

And if'n your into moving targets, find a hillside and use a mt gallon milk jug. Throw the jug up the hill and try to keep the jug from get'n to the bottom before the clip is mt. It's really an eye opener,as to your accuracy, when that jug is roll'n right back at you.

I never tried moving targets.  still need to practice with stationary ones.
