caught a pretty and healthy looking coon in a coni. i noticed there was froth around mouth and alot of siliva on the down facing mouth.
is this normal for a coni catch or is it sick?

I'd say its normal if the trap caught him in the neck or chest.
Was the bucket baited?

I have caught them that way before when using a conibear. I always wear rubber gloves when skinning anything.
