Well, last Saturday I went up to Middlecreek where the PGC was scoring bucks and bear. The event was held from 8 AM till 3 PM and there was a steady stream of people coming in and out. There were a ton of tremendous animals brought in - some very very impressive. I heard and saw that a few bear made B&C - non of the bucks made B&C but two of them made the PGC Record Books.
I'm glad I went to get my official score. I had three different people give me rough scores on my buck and even do a quick tape job. Everyone gave me a number in the 150's. Well the PGC did my buck and its final score was a 143! Now I know the final score, I guess it could have shrunk a tad since the antlers dried and I'm sure the guys doing the rough scores didn't figure in deductions (which were minimal).
143 still is enough to make it in the PGC's Record Book for buck. 140 is the minimum score ... wheeew just made it! :music:
