I don't want to be moving and calling for Coyote, Coon or Fox.
UB, I know you own more e-callers than Cabela's have in stock.
Instead of you pacing around like a skittish Red Fox, take two remote e-callers along on your next hunt.
Place them 40 yards to each side of you. Of course you can use your mouth calls too. That way you can covered 80 yards of sound without moving.
Some of my successful Coyote hunts (kills) have been with 2-3 hunters. Many guys still hunt Coyote with a Fox Hunting mentality.
2 or 3 guys using calls at the same time or rotating intermittent times or just Coyote talking to one another. This is one method I enjoy and keeps us all involved and alert. We are setup in likely spots away from one another. But we stay put and don't move. We don't yank their chains, we give them what they want to hear.
Next time you take someone or two along, give them a chance to call too. Don't run the whole show, but have a plan to get all involved. Discuss what sounds you want to use. Maybe this guy wants to howl, then you bark back at him. You may get a response quick. So your plan if you get a response is... or
You may both want to use distress calls rotating intermittently. That can get a fast response.
I think I killed (we killed) more Coyotes hunting with 2-3 guys then hunting alone. But then again, all guys used calls. I didn't take 'em out to stand and watch...lol. They do some work too.
A good example was years ago. PPHA members came to my house to do an early morning Crow Hunt.
Mid-morning, Crow hunting slowed so I ask if they want to go Calling Coyote. We had 5 in our group.
We had time for one stand before my wife had lunch prepared for us.
Tom (UB's brother) was on the e-call and I was using a mouth call. It wasn't too long I heard BANG! Tom shot a Grey Fox about 10:30am-11:00am. Dale saw it, but it was out of range.
Yea that was a Fox, but using two different calls and 5 people scattered about.

This is one of my methods and may not work in your area.
There are locations that may only need a caller and shooter or just a caller and a guy next to him.
