Any body try the 218 Bee for coyotes and fox? I bought a model 43 that shoots a 37 grn calhoon double hp very well. Tried on groundhogs this past summer and got small entrance and no exit. Let me know what you think.

I would say it's too light, but that is my personal opinion...for coyotes I don't like to go below a 223...my 22 Hornet is not what I take for my coyote hunting either. However, having said that,
it all comes down to one's ability and shot placement...
and not stretching the distance required for the shot beyond the rifles ability
I wouldn't try to take a bear with a 22
but there are some who would argue they could do it..
just my 2ยข

Like Goose said, everyone has different and
strong
opinions on what calibers are too small or too big
The ballistics on a 218 Bee are almost identical to the 22 Hornet.
Basically, you can do anything with the Bee that you would do with the Hornet.
If you wouldn't do it with a Hornet, the Bee wouldn't be a good choice either.

if you can roll your own, maybe pump it up a bit... I'd try for head shots with either the hornet or the bee...
