First Red Fox With Caller and Decoy
« on: January 21, 2015, 05:54:45 PM »
So, after purchasing the FoxPro 2 Wildfire the other day...I took it out this early morning, where I had enough daylight to use my iron sights....

Set it on Bay Bee Cottontail first...then switched over to Vole S.....in a matter of 5 minutes...there it is...it showed up quicker than I was planned for. A Red Fox.

Grabbed my 10/22 Takedown....sighted in with hollow points...first shot around 30 yards...tagged...he dropped and was pulling his body forward...quickly snapped a couple more and all is over.

Here it is....and yes, thank you FoxPro 2 Wildfire...already feeling the investment was well worth it as I have to protect my flock of turkeys and chickens.

He weighed in at 13.2 lbs and he'll be headed out to be tanned.

Way to go!!  Its great to hear the success stories on the boards.  Thanks for posting the pics also.  Just goes to show you if they're coming ,,,, it'll happen fast.  Believe it or not, thats pretty much a "normal" response time.

Ah Sweet  Virginia! Do you know for about $ 103 you can hunt small game and predators! Coyotes, fox, coon, and 12 bobcat a year.
Another $83.00 and you get to take 3 buck and 3 doe with firearms. One of the buck can be a Y or a Spike for meat. You pay just a little bit more for crossbow and or bow and or black powder for deer. 2 hr and 40 minutes!
I have been visiting a place called Massanutten, Va. It's 193 miles for me to travel there. I actually have 2000 acres to hunt on right next to the George Washington National Forest. Add that parcel on and you have one heck of a hunting adventure awaiting you! Ah Yes Virginny! I wish I lived there!
