WTB SxS 16 or 20 gauge
« on: December 30, 2013, 04:07:59 PM »
Looking for a beater or brush SxS in 16 or 20 gauge.  Not looking to break the bank so anywhere from $100-$175ish.  Project gun would be great as long as its safe to shoot.  I know its a long shot, but trying to stay in my budget.

I bought a Stoeger over under a few years ago in 12 gauge and I'm kicking myself.  I went to get a 20 SxS and I bailed on it and got the O/U instead.  I've missed a few 16 doubles under $200 this year.  I'm all about cheap brush guns since I like to hunt with mine.

I know it's a little more than you wanna spend shadowchaser but look on chearperthandirt the Century Int Arms SxS in 12ga is $275 with a 20" barrel.  Great brush gun and light enough that you don't mind taking it along with your rifle to every stand.  I am seriously thinking of getting one myself cause carrying my Mossberg 835 with everything else to all of my stands is getting harder each time.  I have two times that in recent hunts that I didn't take the shotty along and both times I would have had a shot with it.  In the flip side I can only think of two times when I have used it......so even if it's a tossup I always have it with me now.
