New Officers.....
« on: February 25, 2013, 01:01:56 PM »
I noticed a post the other day (not sure by who) advising that there were many officers who were not going to run again.

Like myself, there are many new guy joining all the time.  Being so new, we are still learning what the PPHA is all about and what we do.

Having said that, for a new guy to step up as an Officer, I'm sure most aren't aware of what the various positions are along with the responsibilities that go with the positions.  Is it possible to post what the positions are and what the "job description" is.  I think that more guys may be willing to step up if they know a little more about the positions and what they are signing up for.

All the info is in the ppha bylaws
http://www.ppha.us/docs/PPHA%20bylaws%20amendments%20as%20of%2011.16.09.pdf
If the link doesn't work, they are in the top sticky section under ppha club members
Thanks for your interest

Thank you LegLifter!  I did not receive any of this in the mail with my membership, nor did I notice any link on the home page.  Am I missing something?

It wouldn't be cost effective to mail all the members a copy of the bylaws.
Also they can change from term to term.
So they have been posted in the "ppha club members" forum for member's reference.
Can you see the members only section of the forums?
If not we can get that remedied quickly.

Misterjake, I feel you make a helpful and insightful observation.  PPHA needs to communicate with the members better through emails and a quarterly newsletter.  We cannot rely on a web-site as we probably miss alot of guys and gals.
