Been awhile since I was on the forum.We had a good summer-early fall for the construction business and things were busy which is good.I squeezed in a 10 day backpacking trip in and around Yosemite Park in California in Sept.Saw a few bears-lots of mule deer and lots of star filled skies in the high-country.Beautiful country to see.Saw a few coyotes in the Toulume Meadows area coming in Tioga pass.Been hearing coyotes a lot up north at the cabin.Shot a doe with my recurve(stalked close to a 12 yard shot)up north but hit her a little back.Long story short-My son-his dog-his buddy and myself spent the night on the mountain at last blood within 80 yards of where I found her first thing in the morning and something (possibly coyotes-we heard em 3 times during the night)ate part of a hindquarter.Not sure what but something got to her overnight.Hope everyone has a great year afield this fall!!!have fun and remember--Life is Short and It,s Later Than You Think!!!!
