Savage model 110

I have a guy wanting to trade me a savage model 110 in a .243 for my muzzleloader. It has a cheap Simmons 8pt 3-9-40. He wants 300 for the gun outright. Is this to much. The scope will be changed if I get it. Give me your input. This is my first predator gun. I also have a guy willing to give me 250 for my muzzleloader, should I just take 250 and put it on an savage axis in 223. Thanks for your input. Gun looks like it's in good condition here's a link to it for you to check it out.

Depends what you're trying to do with it.... coyotes and fox... may be a lot bit much if you're concerned with fur damage.... but if you're not then go for gold.

I gave you a bad answer, let me re-word that for Coyotes, you're gold. Foxes, not so much. You'll be doing a lot of fur damage to the fox. Saw a rifle tonight savage in mossy oak brush .243 I think was $385. So. Take it for what its worth.

Sounds like you made a good choice,, hopeyou was able to look it over well before the swap....
At least you can use the 243 for other game as well...
