Howler, I cerrenrly own a tikka in 7mm mag for my river rifle for big game, topped with a nikon 6-18• 40. I absolutely love the gun, for the price range it's tough to beat. the rifle shoots a .6" 3 round group with factory ammo!! I'm considering buying one in a smaller caliber specifically for predators, let me kno if you see any used left hand  in a 223. IMO, yes get one.

I got mine in .22-.250, I love it. I thought it was smooth when I got it, but then I oiled it.... I almost fainted it was so smooth. Can't say a bad thing about it. I just want a sexier stock for it is all. Shoots factory ammo very well and I can't complain about it. Sometimes I just open the bolt to open it. All and all tax, a gun case and a box of ammo, $620. Can't be beat imo.

D79 hunter, I've noticed its almost impossible to find a small caliber used. Ive looked and looked and could not find one. I do have a tikka t3 lite stainless in a 25/06 and love it. I just didnt know if someone had another rifle model i should look at. But i think you guys made up my mind. I was looking at a savage model 10 predator but they are about $100 more. When you put on a good scope i didnt want to pay $1000 for a new rifle. thanks for the help guys.

Just love my Tikka T3 left handed in stainless .243. I use 87gr vmax, just shoot a coyote in the head at 175 yards and the bullet never came out. Great gun and great bullet.
