Copperhead Pics

I love the color on these guys.  I'd rather mess with a rattler anyday over a copperhead!!

"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!

I too like to see copper heads snakes, but them bitty little buggers like to strike at everything.
I posted a picture of Tim holding the snake with snake tongs on my on my web page but the color is not as nice. I used my I phone camera for the picture. I hope this weekend at the PPHA camp out we get Tim to take us to some more spots and we have good snake hunting weather to get more pictures.
For a brief moment I could hear nature through all the noise.

Same terrain but a little lower in elevation (1200) and more overgrown.  He was small (15-16 inches) and nasty.  Ernie I intend on going back to the gamelands early Saturday where I found the shed.  Don't want to hunt too long as I need to entertain back at the campground.

I am heading north Just for the day on July 9th.  If you wanna go let me know.  It will be a long and tiring day but I can guarantee you snakes and plenty of them.
