Bluegill Fish Chowder

1 1/2 lbs. fresh bluegill, bass or perch
2 strips of bacon
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 large onion, diced
2 cans of mixed vegtables
1 bay leaf
2 cups water
2 cups milk
2 T. Butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4  cup flour
salt and pepper

In a large pot, put 2 cups of water and a quarter cup of lemon juice. Bring to a boil and add the fish.  Cook until the fish flakes apart with a fork. Fry bacon until crisp.  Saute water from fish and add cooked bacon, fish, and remaining ingredients.. Cook on low hear for 20 to 30 minutes.. Remove Bay Leaf and serve..
