This morning's....Set back
« on: January 14, 2010, 09:05:49 PM »
Been having a good roll on fur the pass several weeks call'n & trap'n.
Was check'n traps before work today. Was stopped at a Red Light when a loaded dump truck slid into the furmobile.
After taking care of business and talk'n with police I checked my last two locations and made it to work with 1 minute to spare....
I didn't feel like call'n Fox on my way home tonight....

Very low impact. 5 mph battering ram.
Am fine. Just a push.
Road was icy. Loaded truck skidded a bit at a very low speed.
My last trap check...I had a 21 lb. Coon in a spring hole set (long chain and drag).
Spring is in dip between corn field and railroad tracks.

Glad to hear you're OK Hern.  January is not a good month for me either.  Coming up on year since I totalled my truck skidding on black ice.

Glad to see you are ok Hern.  Sounds like you are having a decent fur season.
"Predators are either active & feeding, semi-active & callable, or utterly inactive & then practically speaking, no call is needed; we're just taking our guns for a walk. We can & should get used to it, & follow their leed cuz they just ain't eager nor apt to follow our’s any time soon!
