Is old brass from the range worth anything ?
-
Depends on how bad a shape it's in... ??? ??? ???...I've picked up a bunch of range brass and reloaded it and it's fine.....Some has to be put through a tumbler and then checked with a set of calipers to see if it's still good...a lot of variables... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

If its not usable will the salvage yard give you anything for it.

They should. I've cashed in empty casings for scrap before. Of course that was 30 years ago! :o

when I find brass the first thing I look for is a box that it came from, that'll tell whether it's new or not... if no box you can inspect the brass for stretching or ringing etc... I use the brass, or pass it on to a bud of mine who uses it for either his own or people he loads for, so yes I do use range brass...
salvage yards will pay good money for brass... they will buy up military surplus if they can get it for the right price for recycling...
