+1 for me.  But. I would go anyway as long as those "Limeys" are no longer in it.  If they are still there then its a great memory.  About 38 years worth.  Dick

I think its great how the message got across lound and clear from the sportsman to the point the Sportsman's Show cancelled in Feb.  Because the NRA is sponsoring it now, I personally believve many people who haven't came out for a long time will come out now just to show the same type of support.  I personally ahven't went for quite a few years and I live 40 min away in York.  I guarantee I'll be attending this year simply to support the NRA and their efforts.

I thought Hern was just fishing.  I haven't seen any announcements.  Where are you folks getting this  info?  I would love for it to be true.  Dick

Papa1, naw, not kidding around.
It was in the paper and on the local tv news.
I read were 11 organizations or sponors submitted bids to host this event. The Farm Show building folks picked the NRA for a few years contract.
NRA said they are looking forward to long term contract.

Oh Boy here we go again!  I heard the NRA is not going to allow any gun sales at the new show.  What are they thinking?  Anyone else hear of this?

Rumer has it they are saying that it's not a gun show but an outdoors show.

There weren't any gun sales previously at the ESOS were there?

At the risk of sounding like an anti gun guy which I'm definitely not, the fact that there possibly won't be any gun sales at this show doesn't really bother me. It is supposed to be an outdoors show and was quite large as such. If they allowed gun sales one of two things would happen, it would either massively increase in size or it would turn into another gun show and any outdoors products would eventually go by the way side. I'm sure that there would still be gun product vendors just no gun sales.

There are already numerous gun shows to be found, and I'd hate to see us lose an outdoors show of this magnitude like we did this year.

Hey Lookin4fur;  Looks like you are LOOKIN to stir things up.  You can chase those feelings away by revealing the  source of your (rumers) rumors.  Dick

Im excited that the nra is taking it over. Im sure that them not allowing sales is so it doesnt compete with shot show. I think they sold guns but you had to go to the vendors store to pick em up. Trops shydas and all the local places were the biggest sellers of guns. Im sure it will be bigger then before.

That's correct ben.  I wasn't trying to start any trouble either.  Just trying to confirm what I heard as she was the first to post this that I saw.  I just knew that it would tick some people off and confuse others.  I personally don't understand the logic.
