LL, I was there and was surprised at higher prices than expected.
Neighbor boy (young man) and I went together. It was his first sale.
He ask how much he would get for his Rats...I said...hopefully 4 bucks.
I was wrong...he and I got $8 a head for Rats!!!
We were on the high end for Fox and average on Coon prices.
I had given my fur to a friend to sell on Saturday.
I was looking around the basement and shed Saturday afternoon and found a few Rats, Mink, Coon and Fox I forgot to sent to sale. So I sold them Sunday with the neighbors stuff.
Sale on Saturday had about the same prices.
The basement is empty at this point.

Things may be looking up.
Too bad I only trapped one complaint this year ???

LL, i trapped as usual and called more than the past few years.
Figured I would go for numbers to offset low prices.
It was a surprise, a good surprise, cha-ching.
I came short of my goal for call'n/kill'n 50 Canines and 50 Coon but was happy with results for the time I called. Trap'n was about the same.
I only trapped a several dozen Rats. With 8 bucks a head, I shoulda stayed with 'em...LOL...but who knows?
Even with low fur prices predicted...one should keep harvesting fur to keep a healthy population of furbearers and keep your skills honed.
The fur market bends and moves, and this season I finally sold at the right time (I think)...LOL...unless the Canada autions keep prices rising....LOL
